This podcast highlights those individuals: parents, teachers, medical professionals, caregivers—people who never asked for recognition but found themselves becoming beacons of support for others.About Dennis QuinnMy match as a Big Brother volunteer led to a 13-year journey with Mike, a boy who had been bounced in and out of foster care for the early years of his life. Our journey ended when the mental illness that appeared when he hit puberty led him to commit suicide at age 20.The story I share highlights the need for adult/child mentorship, and how those Relationships change both the child and adult. It also calls attention to the challenges Family and friends face in dealing with serious mental illness. For many kids who are in single parent homes, foster care, or incarcerated, there is a need for adults (especially men) to step forward and volunteer as mentor/friend. Those relationships have enriched my life, and I share my story in the hope it encourages others to step forward.https://www.djquinnauthor.com/If you are looking for a Personal Coach contact Karen at #YESICAN Coaching with Karen[email protected]440 526 1530

Karen Hale Purpose Seeker

After spending the first 50 plus years of my life trying to be like everyone else I finally chose myself. My journey has taken me up and down some hills and valleys that provided me a perspective on life. What I have learned and I am continuing to learn is that I AM OK and I don't have to attempt to look or act like anyone else. My uniqueness is what makes me shine and my confidence had grown 100%. As a podcaster, blogger, and coach I am helping myself and others face this imperfect world and making it the best place in the universe. If I can touch one other person through my stories or sharing those of others I have achieved success.
