A new ‘find’ and a returning star highlight this week’s TheDavidBowersAwards.
From Los Angeles comes an artist who defies categorization. Raspin Stuwart is a consummate story teller with his own style that crosses Blues/Americana with more than a touch of Jazz. Raspin shares his story and tracks from his new album, NY2LA, that show off his talent and range of genres from Country to Pop. Raspin was the opening musical performance for author Marianne Williamson, and has been described as “a music guru… who makes us think,” by the Life Changes Network BBS.
Returning to our show this week is most-talented and delightful Canadian teen pop star, Mikalyn Hay. Showing off her talents and distinctive voice, Mikalyn veers off in a new direction for her. Having been approached by the Brazilian duo, Machine Drivers, and collaborating without ever meeting, she came up with an enchanting and catchy EDM track that’s finding her an ever-broadening fan-base.
