Marc McInnis Crumpton (1952 — 2020)
In memory of Marc McInnis Crumpton, formerly of Fort Smith, Arkansas, was born August 5, 1952 and grew up in Madison, Wisconsin where he enjoyed a youth filled with great family, friends and experiences. He enjoyed sailing (friends recall that his sailboat, “Miss Fortune” won many races) ice hockey, music (in high school he was a member of a band known as The Moppets, along with classmates Steve Cornelius and Brian Alexander) and a multitude of fond memories.
Educated in Madison, Wisconsin up until his college days, Marc attended Lakewood Elementary School, Sherman Junior High School and Madison East High School, graduating in 1970. Subsequently, (and likely due to a desire to enjoy the skiing opportunities available in Fort Collins), he studied at Colorado State University, graduating with a degree in technical journalism.
Professionally, Marc enjoyed spending more than 30 years with Whirlpool Corporation, where he retired as the Director of Human Resources at Whirlpool’s Tulsa facility at Cherokee Industrial Park.
Marc was married to Marcia Ann “MiMi” Williams who survives him, as do their three wonderful sons, Marc Jr., Braun and Cliff (Kat). He also enjoyed and adored his three grandchildren, Blake, Taylor and Peter. He is survived by his brother Chuck (Becky), and sister Susan Manning (Brad) and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Frances Crumpton and father Charles Crumpton.
Marc entered into Heaven to be with his Lord on Good Friday, April 10, 2020. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, his Celebration of Life graveside services had to be postponed until April 2, 2021 at 1:00pm at Roselawn Cemetery in Fort Smith, Arkansas, where a gathering of family and friends followed at Homewood Suites on Phoenix Avenue.
Services were under the direction of Edwards Funeral Home.
