Remelluri is one of the most enchanting vineyard in Northern Spain and one of the most timeless and iconic settings in the wine industry. Because of the efforts of a great local tour operator, my group had the rare chance to visit this privately owned vineyard. The property is stunning, and a second-generation son and daughter are running the place.

Remelluri was founded by monks in the 14th Century, although there is evidence dating even farther back of wine being made on these premises. The vines changed hands a number of times over the years before being purchased by Jaime Rodriguez in 1967.
