In this podcast episode, I speak to MCPON Mike Stevens, the 13th Master Chief Petty Officer of the Navy. We speak about his days as a young boy at his dad’s sawmill, his service in the Navy, and ultimately his selection as the 13th MCPON. We discuss his definition of leadership, his leadership advice for the newly selected Chief Petty Officers, how important faith is as a leader, his leadership as the CEO of the Navy League, and what the hardest thing is about being a leader. We are celebrating the Navy’s 246th birthday and we want to send a heartfelt Happy Birthday to all Active, Reserve, Retired, Veteran, and Civilian Navy families.
