1. Donna Kalil -- Hunting Invasive Burmese Pythons in the Everglades (On location) 29:06

Meet Donna Kalil. She calls herself and her volunteers “Everglades Avengers”. She’s an environmentalist/herpetologist whose mission in life is to rid her beloved Everglades of the Burmese Python, an invasive and destructive creature. This invasive snake preys on almost anything–rabbit, deer, fox, otters….and there is a desperate attempt to control their numbers so the ecosystem can get back into some balance.

Donna Kalalil is a true “zesty”. She’s in her 60s, and doing what she loves–even if it’s not everyone’s cup of tea. Her purpose is clear and it motivates her to go out night after night. She’s also profiled on almost every story and documentary on the Everglades ecology. A Japanese crew came over recently to film her! Thank you Donna. It was a real thrill.
