We’re all aware that communication is a critical component of interpersonal effectiveness.
We communicate to get our ideas across, to connect with others, to negotiate, and inspire.
And yet, many of us still struggle with our communication skills.  That’s where empowered communication comes in.  Empowered communication is a way of speaking that can help us identify shared values, encourages us to use language that increases goodwill, and avoid language that contributes to resentment or that lowers self-esteem.
It helps us focus our attention on compassion as our motivation, rather than fear, guilt, blame, or shame.
On this episode, Kim and Louise chat with litigator, legal strategist, educator, and collaborative leader, Carla Madeleine Kupe. Carla is also the founder and CEO of The Impact Alliance LLC, a diversity, equity, inclusion, and anti-racism/colonialism consulting enterprise.
