1. The second wound is often the deepest cut. Miranda Pacchiana explains what that means. Amanda Blackwood presents: The Trauma Survivors 39:19

She survived the awful experiences of her childhood, and then she learned how to deal with them later. This woman has been a hero to me for a few years now and I’m overjoyed to have her on the show. Miranda Pacchiana, MSW is a personal coach,  writer, survivor, and host of the podcast Truth and Consequences:  Navigating the aftermath of trauma. She has spent over two decades  addressing and examining family responses to the disclosure of child  sexual abuse which led her to create the online platform, The Second  Wound: Coping with family while healing from abuse & assault. Miranda is a married mother of three grown children and she lives and works in Sandy Hook, Connecticut.
