Shaun Hamilton had it all – a devoted father who was a huge part of his life, a promising life as a member of the Boy Scouts, and brains to back up his rugged Texan good looks. But when his father died in his arms at the top of a mountain when he was fifteen, he began to understand what it meant to be a trauma survivor. Shortly afterward he had an experience of trauma bonding with a girlfriend who survived horrific assault. It started him on a life long path to healing, and learning how to have functional, happy Relationships with others based on communication and action plans. He has dedicated his life to supporting survivors and advocating for change in the way we approach sexual violence and its aftermath. Alter your perception.
