1. Episode 90--It's Not Weak to Speak with Simon Rinne Part 1 Billy Lahr 59:52

In this week’s episode, Billy talks with Simon Rinne, the founder of Mindful Men, a therapy practice that is dedicated to supporting men with mental illness and disability. He is a husband and father of two based in Australia along Queensland's Sunshine Coast.

Simon’s passion for mental health comes from living with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), depression, anxiety, and burnout throughout the last 30 years. 2022 marks 10 years since Simon finally opened up and got help for his mental illness, and he is here today to share his story and inspire other men to share theirs.

Billy and Simon discuss:
–His growing up in a masculine “world” story
–His mental health journey and what his OCD looks like
–The importance of having street cred as a licensed social worker
–The difference between how men in Australia and how other men from around the world are raised to address their mental health

Billy Lahr The Mindful Midlife Crisis Podcast

Billy Lahr is currently the host of The Mindful Midlife Crisis, a podcast for people navigating the complexities and possibilities of life’s second half. Billy spent 21 years as an educator but became disenfranchised the last half due to budding mental health concerns and lack of job satisfaction. In 2021, Billy left his job as dean of students in order to travel the world in search of more meaningful life experiences. Since then, Billy has been focused on helping others navigate their own midlife crisis more mindfully through practical and intentional daily routines that focus on consistency, discipline, and mindful awareness.
