Sander Van Stee: Regenerative farming.
I had a great conversation with Sander. We chatted about sustainable farming, some of the processes and the benefits. I learned a lot.
Sander went to the University of Guelph with the goal of becoming veterinarian
in 2010, he changed his mind. he decided he would be able to spend more time working with animals as a farmer than as a veterinarian.
in 2014 They built a new dairy facility centered around cow comfort. The herds health improved and they became one of the top managed herds in Wellington county.
He had a health scare causing him questioning his priorities, the healthcare system and the way he farmed,
looking for ways to improve the lives of his animals. He found there was no market for it, which led to the idea of "Moral Eats"
A company that sources and delivers moral animal products.
Moral eats uses regenerative farming practices as a solution to improving the welfare of farm animals while promoting sustainability.
