I recently sat down with my childhood friend Tia Hawkins to talk about her journey to today and how Brene Brown’s book has influenced her path, development, and success.

The book is about opening up with vulnerability and putting yourself out there in the arena of life. Sometimes we want to hold on to safety and familiarity, and in the process, we let ourselves down. Nothing ventured, nothing gained. Tia seemed to find the book at the most challenging time in her life. Since that time, my friend, a Registered Nurse, Wellness Coach/Educator, Speaker and Author, has been sharing her message with others, helping them take care of themselves, to
find that courage to move beyond their own perceived limitations.

Tia is a Registered Nurse, Wellness Coach/Educator, Speaker and Author. Combining both education and life experiences, Tia has gained a social media presence for her wise quotes, relatable life stores, and transparent advice. Her words have been published online by some of the biggest parenting forums on social media today, including Today Parents, Scary Mommy, Love What Matters, and, Her View From Home. Tia has a passion to guide others through the wilderness of life’s journeys and extends a personal vulnerability others can relate to. Tia’s words will soon be going from virtual to bookshelves with her first published print piece in the book, “So God Made A Mother,” Written by Leslie Means and which hits shelves in April 2023.
