60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey: Your Voice Was Made to Be Heard

  1. 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey: Your Voice Was Made to Be Heard 2:56

Hello to you listening in Hackney, London, UK!

Coming to you from Whidbey Island, Washington this is Stories From Women Who Walk with 60 Seconds for Wednesdays on Whidbey and your host, Diane Wyzga.

Maybe like me you grew up at a time when children were supposed to be seen and not heard. I ask you! What child doesn’t want to be heard? And yet society worked hard to quiet our voices. In time I was able to say, “Hey! Nobody asked me about being quiet. I want to be seen, heard, understood and listened to!” I had to work at saying what I mean and meaning what I say.

It’s not just words. No two voices are alike. Each voice has a singular tone, an energetic imprint that’s all its own. Our voices have the power to heal, to hurt, to Love, and to transform others. When we are aware of the impact our voices can have, we can consciously choose what we are expressing, and how we are making ourselves heard.

It’s your voice. It was made to be heard. When we take responsibility for the power our voice has to shift attitudes and behaviors, unbalance the status quo, and create harmony and compassion in the universe, that’s the place where we become seen and heard.

Question: How do you plan to become seen and heard today?

You’re always invited: “Come for the stories – stay for the magic!” Speaking of magic, would you subscribe and spread the word with a generous 5-star review and comment – it helps us all – and join us next time!

No hands!” That’s been the story of Diane's life. Showing up - maybe scared but not afraid - because when you fall down 7 you get up 8.
