1. Maude Le Roux, Founder - A Total Approach & The Maude Le Roux Online Academy: Trauma and Communicating Consent Dr. Laura Sicola 39:18

The traumatic events of our world and how they impact us also influence our ability to communicate. This week Maude Le Roux shares the power of trauma and how it impacts the body and the way we communicate with each other. Listen in as Laura and Maude discuss how recent studies of trauma have influenced the way Maude’s occupational therapy teams work with children, communicate consent, and help families gain a better understanding of each other’s needs.

Here are a few things you’ll learn during this conversation:

  • How to ask permission in different ways
  • Understanding the guidelines of trauma
  • How the “golden rule” applies to public speaking
  • Why transparency is important when sharing successes with others
  • What to do when terminology puts a barrier between you and your audience

During the 24-hour Influence Challenge, Maude inspires you to learn something about a familiar face through active listening strategies.
