Today: Music, Writing, And Aging with Debra Cohen
Meet Debra, a Baby Boomer who refuses to be defined by age. This ain’t your grandma’s story! Buckle up for a wild ride of rock and roll dreams, near-death experiences, and a spiritual awakening that led her from opening for Joan Jett to the heart of Israel.
Debra has always chased music. From New Wave singer to Blues bandleader in Nashville, music has been her constant. Along the way, she battled addiction, PTSD, and the challenges of love.
Debra learned about healing the body, mind, and spirit, even facing her faith head-on as a former Catholic turned Jewish convert.
Debra has a new book, “Jewish Palestine/Arab Palestine: A History of Conflict” inspired by the documentary, “Birth of a Conflict”. This non-fiction book is a summary of events that led up to the Jewish Palestinians regaining their land which was spoken about some 3,000 years ago by King David of The Bible.
