Things I did for the first time at 60 so far

If you’d told me ever that I’d be singing in a musical improv class and having FUN, I wouldn’t have believed it. I can’t sing. But singing instead of speaking in an improv scene justifies my movement on the stage (I´m very physical) and I enjoy that a lot. (español abajo)

I never thought I’d get into that cold plunge pool, but I was filming a reel and thought “it would make good content” and so I did it and survived. 😀 It wasn’t for long, but I said I would never do it and I did.

Today I bought a pull-up bar because ever since I interviewed @ginnymaccoll for @vivafifty, I haven’t been able to get that out of my head. “Start with a pull-up” – and welp, here we are. My physical goal in my 50’s was a handstand and I did it. Now it´s doing unassisted pull-ups.

Sketch-writing … that’s something @phildiederich wanted to do and we can finally do it together after a year and a half of weekly improv classes.

At 60 I do have the feeling that time is running out, and I don’t want to die with any music left in me. So far I feel I’ve done pretty well trying new things throughout my life, so why stop now?

What have you done lately that you didn’t think you’d ever do?

No sé cantar.
