269: Heather Dominick: Success Tips For Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs

  1. 269: Heather Dominick: Success Tips For Highly Sensitive Entrepreneurs Nicole Jansen, Leadership Coach For Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurs 42:35

Heather Dominick is a woman who is impressively successful and highly sensitive. She is a former high school drama teacher who collaborated with none other than Bette Midler, and a graduate of NYU where she received her first coach training.

She is the winner of the 2015 Best of Manhattan Coaching Award and creator of the 2014 Stevie Award winning virtual event ‘A Course In Business Miracles®: 21-Day Discovery Series’ that attracted close to 6,000 official registrants from all around the world including: Iceland, Nigeria, Russia, Asia, South America, Australia, Europe and the U.S.

Heather has appeared on Lifetime Television and has been published in numerous books including Stepping Stones to Success alongside Deepak Chopra. An exceptional facilitator and teacher, she is known for creating a safe, sacred community for true transformation – whether she is teaching a Business Miracles® Class, delivering training online or in-person, or mentoring members of her Business Miracles Community in her various Mentoring Programs.

Heather is the founder and leader of the Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur® movement, in which she has helped thousands of HSE’s release life-long limiting beliefs, overcome fears and learn how to build their business in a way that actually feels so good that they can’t help but create solid, sustainable, high level financial success.

In today’s conversation with us, Heather shares how she built a 7-figure business, only to find herself overwhelmed and unhappy. Through discovering her highly sensitive nature, Heather found freedom and fulfillment in doing business her own way. She describes how this difference in approach impacted her and led to the launch of her Highly Sensitive Entrepreneur® movement in 2010, and her Business Miracles® programs.

She describes the qualities of a highly sensitive person, 3 common coping mechanisms they use, how to set boundaries and leverage their strengths in business, and offers encouragement to you that, if you are an HSE, you can be highly sensitive and achieve extraordinary success as a business owner and leader.

Key Takeaways

  1. The HSE’s nervous system is wired to take in stimulation at a much higher degree.
  2. In order for a HSE to be successful in business there must be a shift in perception.
  3. Highly Sensitive people make up 20% of the population.
  4. One unifying quality of HSE’s is being service-based.
  5. Highly Sensitive people are the ‘royal advisors’ to the world.
  6. 3 HSE coping mechanisms are pushing, hiding, and the combo platter.
  7. HSE’s are highly creative and need to go beyond coping, into creating.
  8. Learn to embrace your sensitivity and see it as a strength rather than a weakness.
