221: Tracy David: An Entrepreneurial Approach To Building Confidence In Women

  1. 221: Tracy David: An Entrepreneurial Approach To Building Confidence In Women Nicole Jansen, Leadership Coach For Purpose-Driven Entrepreneurs 48:14

Tracy David has built several lucrative businesses creating thousands of success stories. She continues to thrive in the face of adversity even after enduring a betrayal that left her bankrupt and homeless. She is truly an overcomer and encourager.

Her latest creation, Little Acorn Shave Co is making history with the introduction of the Amora Light Touch razor for women – inspiring us to accept that we are enough and to own our beauty, all while elevating our shave experience and disrupting an entire industry that until now has been geared towards men and dominated by three large companies. Proceeds from every purchase help support survivors of sex trafficking, so that they can get the encouragement and community they need to build a better life for themselves.

In today’s conversation, Tracy shares her own journey, how she was betrayed by her business partner who embezzled over a million dollars from the company, and the most valuable lessons she learned in the process. We explore the power of forgiveness, neuroscience, and Tracy’s discovery of positive affirmations that led to her to earning more than 3000 testimonials from Coaching clients.

Seeking to expand her impact, Tracy set out to find new ways to disrupt the negative mindset of women and help lift them out of the pit of self-criticism and a lack of worthiness they often find themselves in. Discovering her answer in an unexpected place – the shower – Tracy describes how the Little Acorn Shave Co was born. She unpacks her two year entrepreneurial adventure of gathering her team, designing, manufacturing, marketing and launching the first razor ever designed for women. She also extends an invitation for women (and the men who love them) to join the Founders Club in support of this initiative so that women everywhere can know that they are beautiful and more than enough.

Key Takeaways

  1. You need a group of people around you to lean on when things get tough.
  2. Our physical, emotional and spiritual response to difficult experiences determines the life that we live.
  3. Forgiveness works 100% of the time. Sometimes it’s choosing forgiveness several times a day until the hurt is finally gone.
  4. If you find that people are always irritated with you, it might be that you are irritated with yourself.
  5. Our words/speech creates the box we live in.
  6. What if you were to tie your knowledge product to an existing consumer product – connecting your teaching to something people are already doing?
  7. What would the world look like if all the women were walking around thinking they were unstoppable?
