The AI data has already led to safety improvements at a junction in Coventry, where measures such as widening pavements and adjusting road corners will be implemented. The initiative, which is part of TfWM’s broader Regional Road Safety Action Plan, aims to prevent accidents before they occur, targeting areas with a high risk of pedestrian and cyclist incidents. The Technology, costing £100,000 over two years, is expected to help reduce road deaths, with a goal of eliminating crashes by 2040.
