1. Living her legacy through social entrepreneurship Wendy Green 48:05

Barbara Greenspan Shaiman was born in Germany, the daughter of holocaust survivors who emigrated to the US when she was 3-years old. She began her career in education, and transitioned to owning a very successful recruiting business.

It was a trip to Auschwitz with her parents that changed the direction of her life. She started a program called Champions of Caring in Philadelphia high schools to encourage kids to become leaders in service. Her passion for intergenerational work led her to bring a program to Temple University that brings elders and college students together in a learning environment.

The stories Barbara shares about lessons she learned from her mother and the inspiration this has brought to her life are powerful.
