If you ever get to the beautiful city of Florence in Italy, you have to visit the Santa Maria Novella Pharmacy. Founded by the Dominican Friars in 1221, this is the oldest pharmacy in the world and has been producing botanical and herbal products ever since. This is much more than a store! The building began as the Chapel of San Niccolo and it is truly magnificent with marble floors, vaulted ceilings with exquisite frescoes and the most amazing decor you’ve ever seen in a shop of any kind. This is a must see if you are in Florence!
