From Pre-Med to French Cuisine Mastery: A Tale of Transformation and Triumph with Dan Capello

When Dan Capello traded his textbooks for a chef’s apron, little did he know he was slicing through the blueprint of his life, redrawing the lines around his burning passion for French cuisine. Our latest inspiring narrative follows the journey of a pre-med student who carved out a celebrated career within the sizzle and aroma of professional kitchens. Dan’s culinary tales whisk us from the precise artistry of crafting indulgent French dishes to his flavor-infused experiences at a country club, where he expanded his gastronomic expertise. But his story doesn’t end at the kitchen’s swinging doors. Dan also takes us through his transformation, as profound as his soufflés, ignited by an unflattering photograph and guided by the mental fortitude exemplified by ultra-athlete David Goggins. His revelation details a 70-pound weight loss and the triumph of crossing a Spartan race finish line at 57, all fueled by visualization and relentless self-improvement.

With Dan’s narrative as our backdrop, we unravel the essence of leadership and its pivotal role in the recipe for success. The episode serves a hearty discussion on decision-making, debunking the multitasking myth, and bringing to the forefront the impact of focusing on one significant weekly goal that echoes the British Olympic team’s guiding mantra. We reflect on personal success’s fluid nature and the empowering act of documenting our strides and stumbles. Join us as we explore the potent alchemy of harnessing one’s potential, the value of a clear guiding question, and the importance of shaping our narratives through intentional choices, all while drawing Wisdom from our guest’s profound transformation. Make sure to also tune into my weekly TV show, "Together We Serve," where stories of service and business continue to inspire.

As an award winning executive chef, Dan gave his all in the kitchen but was sacrificing his health and his homelife. When Dan hit 300 pounds, he physically didn’t recognize himself. He lost over 70 pounds in 10 months, but realized it wasn’t the number on the scale that was hurting him. It was the thoughts running through his head. Dan identified six key questions that he must answer to get peace, gain Clarity, and create a life he was proud of. Today, Dan helps other chefs and leaders in the hospitality industry recover from Burnout and discover that whether it is serving dinner to hundreds or serving your family of four, you must start with serving yourself. Dan’s upcoming book, Deliberate Evolution, will be released early 2024 and is written to help other high achievers like Dan walk through his six question system.

Steve Ramona Doing Business with a Servant's Heart

Steve Ramona discovered his calling at a young age and is now on a mission to share his secret sauce for success. He thrives on forging meaningful connections, sharing referrals, and watching people flourish.

His contagious passion for the Law of Increase makes his podcast "Doing Business with a Servant's Heart" so successful. This show is chock-full of inspiring stories about overcoming challenges and serving others.

Steve has a knack for spreading good vibes and elevating those around him. He learned from his dad that the entrepreneurial spirit is a great way to make money. I can share stories of how people serve, struggle and win. We all must overcome something, so why not learn to serve and overcome it much faster? I learned early working in our Health Club the importance of customer service. I learned that the more I served it was a win-win for everyone. I enjoy working with people, referring people, and helping people grow. The Law of Increase is my mission when I network around the world.

I love to mentor business people and offer all the resources I have. To win, you must grow yourself first; then, you can share this with others! I am an avid reader and have built a large book directory on sharing with others.
