Today I'm interviewing a Discovering Your Calling Academy graduate, Lea Bartram, from Christchurch, New Zealand. Lea is sharing her journey of feeling stuck as a midlife woman and her transformation through the Discovering Your Calling Academy. Lea was unfulfilled and exhausted from her Network Marketing Career and searching for something new. She shares how she went from saying yes to everyone and everything else to feeling empowered to search for her next career!
Lea shares what her journey in the DYC Academy looked like and how finding her strengths and reconnecting back to childhood dreams and passions helped her find clarity on what she doesn't want in a career and the confidence to pursue new options! She shares how the program's practical approach helped her gain clarity, align with her strengths, and overcome fear of failure. She emphasizes the importance of accountability, learning from others, and setting goals that align with one's values.
“I've been praying; what's my next move? Where do you want me? Because things weren't aligning for me, and I needed to understand why that was.” – Lea Bartram

Sheri Miter is a serial entrepreneur. Her first business was selling painted rocks to neighbors when she was 7! This entrepreneurial spirit led her to many failures but also some huge successes, such as a Chimney Cleaning business with her husband Tom, a professional firefighter, and eventually a business as a Mary Kay sales director. While in Mary Kay, Sheri led her team to six-figure years multiple times, and YES, she drove the iconic pink Cadillac for part of her career!
Despite her success as a Sales Director in Mary Kay, Sheri found herself at a crossroads after 25 years. She began to question if this was the path she truly wanted for the next decade of her life. Even after achieving her best year, she felt a sense of weariness and asked herself, 'Is it ever going to be enough?' This internal struggle led her to a brave decision- to step away from her role as a Sales Director and embark on a new journey. This journey led her to become a Gallup Certified CliftonStrengths Coach. Today, Sheri has crafted a life she loves, assisting other highly successful women to discover their 'what’s next' career. She is passionate about working with women who have achieved success making the money, but are now eager to make an impact by unleashing their God-given strengths and embracing their true calling!
When Sheri isn’t busy with her clients or recording a new podcast, she cherishes her time with her grandkids and embarks on exciting adventures with her husband. Their escapades often include the beach, biking, or out boats. At the end of a fulfilling day, they savor the beauty of the sunset with a cocktail in hand, a testament to Sheri's belief in enjoying life's journey.
