Using a Non-Ordinary State of Consciousness to Address Mental Health Challenges

Dr. Carlos Yu is a non-ordinary medical physician with a goal to raise awareness of the power of using a non-ordinary state of consciousness to target mental health challenges. Dr. Yu is a Psychotherapy, Addiction Medicine, Integrative Family medicine, Emergency medicine, and Travel Medicine Physician at Ajax Harwood Clinic. He holds a Fellowship and Emergency Medicine Certificate from the College of Family Physicians of Canada and is a Consultant in Travel Health. He graduated from the Schulich School of Medicine. He also holds an Applied Mathematics degree from the University of Waterloo.

Beyond his credentials as a medical doctor, when you listen to this interview, you will understand why Dr. Yu is also a recipient of the Merck Patients First Award for excellence and innovation in patient-centered care and has been recognized as a success story for his focus on patient education and empowerment.
