1. Ep. 54: Joanne & Nikki, befree Adaptive Clothing Kate Cherichello 19:04

Today on Be The Good with Kate: The amount of people who need adaptive clothing is a lot higher than you may think. But, before Joanne DiCamillo and Nikki Puzzo founded befree Adaptive Clothing, there were no adaptive options on the market. Think: clothing that can fit around casts, clothing that is safe for people who have no feeling in their legs and may not notice a zipper digging into them, clothing that is created in a way so someone with tactile challenges is still able to have the independence of dressing his or her self.

After seeing Nikki’s daughter Stella struggle to get dressed while dealing with a massive surgery and cerebral palsy, then not finding any clothing that could work around these challenges, Joanne and Nikki set out to find a solution.

They now work each day to fulfill this need, with their company befree Adaptive Clothing, an inclusive clothing line. I can’t wait for you to hear their whole story. Find the link below, and feel free to send any thoughts or surprises my way!

Maybe we can ask ourselves this week: Is there anything we are taking for granted in our daily lives?
