NY to Florida: My BIG Lifestyle Change!

The video discusses the Lifestyle changes and migration patterns of individuals moving from New York and Chicago to Florida.

Erica shares her experiences of moving from New York to Chicago and now splitting time between Chicago and South Florida.
I moved to Chicago for college and stayed for about 20 years. And now I split my time between Chicago and South Florida. So I’m I’m on the East Coast here in South Florida as we speak.

The discussion revolves around the cultural migration patterns, noting that New Yorkers typically move to the East Coast of Florida while Midwesterners tend to go to the West Coast.
When you’re born in New York, it’s in the fine print that you have to eventually be in Florida. I know. L.A. Yeah, exactly. It sure is. And it’s funny because now having spent all the time I’ve spent my whole adult life in Chicago, most Midwesterners go to the West Coast of Florida, whereas most Long Islanders and New Yorkers and people, you know, from kind of the New England area, they all go to the East Coast. So down here where I am on the East Coast, it’s all New Yorkers. And then, you know, all my friends and, you know, family from Chicago and all that, when they come down to Florida, they just tend to go to the West Coast, which is kind of funny.
